Fokus – auf was?
The first week of January is already over, soon it will be Christmas again 😉 .
Rarely I have enjoyed a whole week like last week. Why? O, there are a whole lot of reasons:
* I am healthy and can get up from a cozy bed every morning.* I could spend a few days off work and a wellness-weekend. * Since Tuesday I am back to work and I may enjoy my newly designed workplace in the office. * It was my birthday yesterday and I turned wonderful 53 years old.
By the way, did you know that birthdays are very healthy? If you have many of them, you are likely to get quite old.
I didn‘t have a big party, my Mom came over for a cup of coffee in the morning and I went to work in the afternoon. Hubby prepared thick bean-soup for us for dinner and two friends came over with a little cake (delicious!!!) and a bottle of ice-cold sparkling wine. We enjoyed that right away. Hubby surprised me with a new office chair and a beautiful bouquet of flowers and I bought a new fitness-tracker for myself (again with the feature for measuring my blood-pressure – I like to use this since I had my stroke-episode in 2018). This is the one: SW 660 ECG schwarz – Smart-Wearable mit Bluetooth Funktion und Herzfrequenzmessung sowie EKG-überwachung
Yes, I started 2020 happy– inspite of the cold I had caught – and now it is time for bringing a little structure into my days. After all the holidays and vacation it might take a few days but with patience it will eventually develop.
It is important for me not to have some blurry goals but to define them. That is what takes it into subconsciousness. So I don‘t simply want to „declutter my room“ but „to sort out the cartons I stored in my room by the end of March and to redesign my room“. Another goal is not to „read more“ but to „read this book in January“: Wohlfühlgewicht: Wie du dich vom Diät-Zwang befreist und intuitiv deine Wohlfühlfigur and to listen daily to an audio from the program.
You‘re welcome to ask me in a few weeks if I have reached my goals.
At the beginning of this year I received a relevant word for my year 2020: FOCUS – a strong word for someone like me who gets distracted all the time by everything. I wrote this word down in big letters in my calender so I see it every day. Focus – on what? On my goals, on the tasks that lie before me. Focus on one thing at a time, because I am not able to multitask when I‘m expected to work good. Focus first and foremost on God, because it is thanks to Him that I‘m alive. If you know me personally, you know this is my priority.
O, one more thing: a lot of people wished me health at New Year and on my birthday. Much more important for me though is not to lose my faith when the situation gets hairy. According to the bible quote for this year:
“I do believe; help me overcome my unbelief!” Mark 9,24
With this in mind I wish you a good week!
