Was hast du denn so alles in deiner Werkzeugkiste?

In our house there is not only one but there are several toolboxes. I got my own one with a hammer and nails, screwdrivers, various screws, different pliers, a cutter knife and all sorts of little stuff. Every now and then even I have to repair stuff or hang up a picture. I was taught by dad how to use tools at young age. Thus I was even able to take my saxophone apart and reassemble it after the repair, without a screw being left over. Today I most probably wouldn‘t be patient enough for that. By the way, my husband has his own toolboxes with professional tools – he is a craftsman – carpenter, to be exact.
There are tools for everything in life.
I already told you about using the intueat program to find back to an intuitive way of eating and to physical and emotional well-being. And it works wonderfully. I really feel good in my body, even if I do not nearly look like the models that the media presents us as the ideal women all the time. The program is like a toolbox with different tools, like texts, audio files, exercises, trackers, podcast and much more. For more information click the headline „Feel Good!“. (Unfortunately the program is not available in Englisch yet.)
A new tool is on its way. A new book, a planner, reading and studying material. I will tell you about it later on.
Also, in the kitchen I love my tools. I like to use our blender, because I love „thick“ smoothies. I throw fruit with the shell in and press the button a few times. Perfect for breakfast or a snack. Shortly hubby bought an air fryer. That piece is simply gorgeous. It saves time, pre-heating the oven is not necessary, it is great for smaller portions. I prepared dinner often this past week. So both are perfect tools for me, especially because I do not really like to spend my time in the kitchen.
My cell phone, laptop, washing machine, car, dog harnesses among many others also are tools to make my life easier.
But you know what? All these tools are secondary, because the most important tool in my life is prayer, the dialogue with God. A tool that works. After I was able to think clearly again after my stroke, the first thing I did was to pray. I also asked friends to pray for me. Not even for health, but for calmness to handle the situation. It worked. I was not afraid anymore of whatever would follow. And it was not a one-way conversation with God, no, it was a dialogue. O yes, a dialogue. A talking and listening. That‘s what good conversation is composed of. I could hear in my heart how God consoled me. Also, when Dad was on his deathbed, it was the dialogue with God that comforted me. I cannot imagine my life‘s tool box without prayer. Have you tried?
You see, tools for life are as manifold as life itself. It is an adventure to find out which tools you need in your life.
What are the things you have in your toolbox? Tell me about it, I‘m looking forward to reading your comments!
